It's been years when I really practiced spinning nunchakus, but some moves seem to be still in my memory, eaven though I haven't practiced in ages. :) Planning to start to train with them again, especially heavy chucks are great for the upper front and back shoulder muscles. The heavyer chucks you got and the higher speed you learn to spin them, the better the workout. I'd say that when you get the hang of it, it's as good as going to the gym to train with your shoulders with weights. The centrifugal force generated by them is pretty big at high speeds, and you have to have your muscles keeping them in form 100% of the time, so there's no chance to let the muscles rest until until you stop. I'd say that to get the best workout to your hands/shoulders, when you get good at it, spin them as fast as you can for a minute or two, then rest for a few minutes, and repeat as long as your hands can't control them anymore. If you feel that you've got enough speed and can go on for long, buy a more heavy set.
